MTU Maintenance Lease Services B.V. has renewed and extended its cooperation with Aiir Innovations for a 12-month period. Bart Vredebregt, CEO and co-founder of Aiir Innovations, says: “We are very happy to renew this partnership with MTU Maintenance Lease Services, a company specialized in engine leasing and technical asset management activities. We are proud to support them in their digitalization and innovation process, as they aim to more efficiently serve their customers.”
A successful year
“The year 2020 was a busy year with a lot of tests. After successful evaluation, the cooperation has now also been extended to include a pilot project with MTU Maintenance Hannover, an expert MRO facility,” explains Vredebregt. “MTU’s team challenged us to make our software better and more user-friendly. In particular, we worked together on how to use the software on multiple occasions during the lifetime of an engine. Our software helps MTU to rapidly evaluate the conditions of engines during a lease transfer and provides objective analyses from artificial intelligence algorithms. The new features will optimize their engine incoming process program in a more automated process.”
“In addition to saving time and reducing workload, the Aiir solution also contributes to a higher overall quality level by increasing defect detection rate of the borescopes”.
Future perspectives
“With this renewed 12-month cooperation, we will continue working together to enhance the current capabilities of our solution as well as to explore new use cases in 2021,” says Vredebregt.
“As part of our ongoing commitment to driving real business value using cutting-edge technology, MTU Maintenance Lease Services is excited about this renewed partnership and the extended capabilities Aiir brings. We will continue to look for ways to improve quality, maximize the value of input from our skilled colleagues and increase the value these technologies create,” says Remko Bruinsma, Head of Technical Asset Management at MTU Maintenance Lease Services. “The automated borescope inspection report provides a real benefit for our inspectors, allowing them to focus on the actual inspection process. It also generates quick results. ”
